Miniature Models

These are ordinary photos edited to look like miniature models. I used a gausian blur and increased saturation and contrast to cause it to look artificial and increase the effect.

HDR

These photos are HDR's (High Dynamic Range). They are used to capture all parts of a photo at the proper exposure so no part of it is too bright or too dark. I took one picture at the suggested exposure and then manually changed the settings for each section of the picture, I then compiled the pictures using special software and this is the final result.

Motion

These photos were taken to show motion, I used a slower shutter speed in order to show blur in certain objects and a tripod to that the rest of the photo was sharp.

Abstract

These photos were all taken in various places of various subjects. My ultimate goal with these was to frame them in an interesting way to draw a viewer's eye.

Portraits

This was taken of Angie in Aberdeen, Scotland. I like the dark, gothic look it has.

This photo of Katalina was taken in Aberdeen, Scotland. I like the angle of the photo. I liked this photo of Emily because of the motion of the fabric of the dress.

This portrait of Angie is one of my favorites. I like the lighting, the look in her eye, and the way the lamp in front of her frames the picture.

This photo was taken of Doug in Nice, France.

This is my cousin Jenna, in Barcelona, Spain. I like how the photo brings out the color of her eyes. No editing was needed for this.

This photo was taken in Aberdeen, Scotland. I think the contrast of the subject with the background and the wind through her hair makes the photo interesting.

Film Photography

These photos were taken at Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine. I took them on 35mm film which I developed and printed myself. I scanned them onto the computer before uploading.

Scotland

This was taken in Aberdeen, Scotland and shows the bright colors of nature combined with the rural area. The girl in the photo is Angie, one of my most common and favorite subjects.
